Frequently Asked Questions

Adult Ministries

Other than Sunday Service, how can I connect with other adults?

We offer mid-week Wednesday Wave Classes, Life Groups as well as dozens of other ministries specifically designed to meet your needs. Whether you are a new believer or just searching, whether you are a mom of a preschooler or a individual in recovery, SFC has individuals and groups who meet regularly to encourage and support you in your everyday life.

What are Wednesday Wave Classes?

Wednesday Waves are classes that meet Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm and are designed to see you grow in your faith.  Classes run on semesters and include a host of topics from Christian financial advice, to issues unique to men and women, to in-depth studies of books of the Bible and so much more. See the Wednesday Waves brochure for our current offerings.

What are Life Groups?

Life Groups give you an opportunity to go deep into relationships with other believers and to fellowship with those who can laugh, cry and encourage you and your family.  Life Groups meet in members’ homes across South Jersey on a weekly or bi-monthly basis.  This is a great way to get to know others and live out your faith with individuals who are like minded.

What is First Wednesday?

The first Wednesday of each month is very special at Shore Fellowship. We hold what we call our First Wednesday worship experience. It is a high energy, jolt of encouragement to start your month off on the right track.  First Wednesday features plenty of praise and worship through music, prayer and communion with God.  It is a must attend event on the first Wednesday of each month.

What is THIRST?

The 2nd and 4th Friday of every month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., young adults are welcome to come see what’s up at THIRST. Get connected in our Life Groups, get fed through an engaging Bible teaching, and build Christian relationships during our evening hang-time.  For more information, contact Trevor Dennis at [email protected].

Children’s Ministries

What does SFC offer my younger children on Sunday morning?

You'll find exciting, energetic first-class programs for your children, from birth through 5th grade. Our nursery, offers a warm, colorful, and caring environment for your precious ones, with rooms designed for each stage of development up to age three.

Children ages three through those in 5th grade will be right at home in our Children’s Ministry facility located in the front of our campus.  Here we provide exciting programs to captivate your child’s heart and imagination.  They won't want to miss a single week!

What is SHORE FX?

The first Sunday of every month is very exciting at SFC.  At 6:00 P.M. sharp we experience Shore FX, a program designed for parents and kids K-5th grade. Here, families learn and have fun together!  Comic actors present practical lessons on values like respect, contentment, trust and so much more.  Younger children are welcome but must sit with parents at all times.  You and your kids will be talking about this for weeks. Shore FX runs from October through June.

Are there programs available during the week for younger children?

Wednesday evening is a special time of discipleship for your younger children.  Children's discipleship offers children 2nd through 5th grade the opportunity to learn more about God and God's Word in a smaller, yet dynamic setting.  You must register your children for this program, which runs September through May.

Student Ministries

What does SFC offer my older student on Sunday mornings?

Fusion, for students in grades 6-8, meets in our Student Life Center, located in the back of our campus.  Your student will experience worship, games, and teaching that meets them where they are, in an environment where they can be themselves. Don't miss this high-energy time of friends and fun!  Fusion meets each Sunday at 10:00 A.M.

For Sr. High students, Shore Fellowship offers Zero Gravity. They meet in their own themed café and classroom in the Student Life Center.  Students experience an intense time of music, videos, and a message that challenges students in their spiritual journey. Zero Gravity meets every Sunday at 10:00 A.M

What programs are available during the week for my older student?

Element is an electrifying experience for students in grades 6-12. It exists to offer students a place where they can believe in Christ’s amazing power and love, belong to a unified body of believers and become who God created and designed them to be. At Element, you can expect relevant teaching from God’s Word, powerful dramas, live worship, a friendly environment, fun games and prizes.  A café is also available before and after service.  Element starts at 7:00 pm, doors open at 6:30 pm for games, food, and hangout time.  It takes place every Wednesday, except on the 1st Wednesday of every month from Sept. through May.  During the summer months, the student ministry offers a time of fellowship, fun and Bible study on Wednesday's at 7:00 pm.
