Who Are We?
Shore Student Ministries is the extension of Shore Fellowship that is dedicated to youth. It is not a separate program, but rather a supplement to the overall goal of the church. Our Middle School ministry, consisting of 6th-8th graders, meets on Sunday mornings during 2nd service (10:00-11:15). Our High School ministry, 9th-12th grades, meets during 1st service (8:30-9:30). A typical service includes music, a game or icebreaker, large group message, and Life Group breakout sessions. On Wednesday nights, both our Middle and High School ministries come together for Element. Element is a time for youth to play fun games, experience great worship, and hear relevant teaching. Element meets every Wednesday from 6:30-9:00pm (*except 1st Wed)
During the year, Shore Student Ministries reaches out to the community and the Church body through service projects such as: collecting food for the food drive, collecting bottle caps for cancer treatment, taking care of the needs of the elderly and widows, and much more.
Two of the most life changing experiences in a teenagers life are camp and missions trip. Every year we take our students to a winter and summer camp where they make decisions to receive Christ, surrender to full-time ministry, and commit to pursuing Christian education after they graduate. Annual Missions trips provide students with opportunities to be like Christ through serving others. Past trips have included ministering and evangelizing in NYC, Philadelphia, Boston, Kenya, Tanzania, and providing relief to Victims of Katrina in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
We also provide fun activities for students to build friendships and invite unchurched friends. Throughout the year we have all-nighters, pool parties, costume and theme parties, trips, and off site activities.
